"Hubble's Heritage" not only features the visual beauty and magnificence of discoveries made with the Hubble Space Telescope, and but offers a perspective of how we got to where we are today. A quintessential planetarium presentation, "Hubble's Heritage" begins by telling seasons in the sky, guiding backyard telescopes to the most charming objects, witnessing images of grand earth-based telescopes, and explaining how Edwin Hubble himself co-discovered the expansion of the Universe.
Through breath-taking up-to-the-minute Hubble images, we are taken through space and time to cauldrons of star-birth, churning black holes, exploding stars, and colliding galaxies. We are transported 14 billion light years away to the very edge of the visible universe, and offered a glimpse back 14 billion years to the beginning of Time. We learn our place in the cosmos, and that no matter who we are, we are all made of stardust.
